A sunset cruise on a yacht is the kind of experience that stays with you for years. The Andaman Sea, the horizon glowing orange, a glass of wine in hand. Here is how it all works, what it costs and how to choose the right format.
Cruise formats
Group catamaran cruise (8–14 passengers). The most affordable option. Departs Chalong at 17:00, snorkelling at one stop, sunset at sea, light dinner on board (seafood, rice, fruit), return around 20:00. From 1,800 THB per person.
Private yacht (2–8 persons). Complete freedom: your route, your timetable, your menu. You can have dinner from a local restaurant delivered on board, choose your swimming spot, linger at a beautiful island. From 12,000 THB for the yacht per evening. For groups of 6–8 people the cost per head is comparable to a group cruise — but the boat is entirely yours.
"People who took a private yacht for two on their anniversary write to thank us even a year later. It works."
What is included in a standard package
Hotel transfer to Chalong and back, snacks and drinks (water, juice, beer and non-alcoholic options), snorkelling with equipment, light dinner, sunset at the best viewpoint.
Extras usually at additional cost: alcohol (beer and wine), a full hot dinner, extra stops.
Best month for a sunset cruise
November to April — calm sea, clear sky, stunning sunsets. May to October we still go out but check the forecast and may reschedule. Statistically the most beautiful sunsets are in November and February.
Romantic package for two — what to add
For couples we can arrange: live guitar on board, floral decoration, a cake or champagne, an on-board photographer for a 2-hour shoot. Message us on Telegram and we'll put together a package to suit your budget.
FAQ
Can children join a sunset cruise? Yes, no problem. Children under 5 are free, ages 5–12 half price.
Does the yacht make you seasick? In high season the sea is very calm — rarely. In the transitional period it's worth taking motion-sickness tablets in advance.
