My name is Albina. I live in Phuket and run Thailand U Tour. Over 7 years I have sent thousands of people on excursions — and I know exactly what is worth your time and what is not. Here is my personal list of 10 tours I recommend without reservation.
1. Phi Phi + Bamboo + Khai + Maiton Islands
The most popular route in Phuket — and for good reason. Phi Phi is the island from "The Beach" with Leonardo DiCaprio. Turquoise water, white sand, snorkelling gear included. Suits everyone — couples, families, groups.
⏱ Full day · 👥 All ages
View tour →2. James Bond Island — Phang Nga Bay
Enormous limestone rocks jutting from emerald water. A village built on stilts in the middle of the bay. Kayaking through caves that only open at low tide. This is not just beautiful — it is something you remember for life.
⏱ Full day · 👥 All ages · 📸 Perfect for photos
View tour →3. Elephant Sanctuary — the ethical choice
If you want to see elephants, please choose ethically. Here elephants live in natural conditions: you feed them fruit, bathe them in the river, walk alongside them. No riding, no chains. Kids love it. Adults do too.
⏱ Half day · 👨👩👧 Perfect for families with children
View tour →4. Hanuman World — jungle zipline
The largest adventure park on the island: 16 ziplines, sky bridges, luge carts. Three hours above the treetops. I go there myself — it genuinely is fantastic. Suitable from age 4 (children fly with an instructor).
⏱ 2–3 hours · 🎢 Adrenaline · Min. age 4
View tour →5. Khao Sok + Cheow Lan Lake
Ancient jungle older than the Amazon. A lake ringed by limestone peaks that look like film scenery. You sleep on a floating house, travel by longboat, hear gibbons in the morning. This is not a typical beach-Thailand story.
⏱ 1 day or 2 days/1 night · 🌿 Nature · For those who want more
View tour →6. Racha + Coral Islands
Racha is the Maldives within reach of Phuket. Crystal-clear water, coral reefs, colourful fish. Put on a mask and you are in another world. The best snorkelling in all of Phuket.
⏱ Full day · 🤿 Snorkelling · 👥 All ages
View tour →7. Sunrise at Samet Nang She
You leave at 4 am and watch the sun rise over Phang Nga Bay. Rocks in the mist, silence, fishing boats below. A photograph you will look at in ten years. It is worth the early start, I promise.
⏱ Half day (early start) · 📸 Best photos · For romantics and photographers
View tour →8. Tiger Park near Big Buddha
The tigers here are hand-raised. You can touch them, take photos. Right next door is a viewpoint with a panorama of all of Phuket. We combine both into one route.
⏱ 2–3 hours · 🐯 Exotic · Kids love it
View tour →9. Rafting + Zipline + Waterfall
For those who need more than one activity. You raft down a mountain river, then zipline over jungle, then swim under a waterfall. A full day of adrenaline for a reasonable price.
⏱ Full day · 🏄 High adrenaline · Min. age 6
View tour →10. Phuket City Tour (no shopping stops)
Big Buddha, Cape Promthep, Karon viewpoint, Old Town — all the highlights in one day. No pointless shopping stops (I specifically removed them from the itinerary). A great start if you have just arrived and want to understand the island.
⏱ Full day · 🏛 Culture · Perfect for your first days
